Widget Types

DataWise supports a wide range of widget types: Bar Chart, Line Chart, Pie Chart, Donut Chart, Scatter Plot, Area Chart, Heatmap, KPI Card (single metric), Pivot Table, Data Table, Funnel Chart, Map, and Gauge Chart. Each widget type can be configured with custom colors, labels, tooltips, and legends. You can mix and match widget types on a single dashboard to create comprehensive views.

AI Recommendations

When you create a new dashboard and select a data source, the AI engine scans your data and recommends widget configurations based on column types. Numeric columns with date columns trigger time-series charts. Categorical columns paired with numeric values suggest bar or pie charts. Multiple numeric columns may suggest scatter plots or correlation matrices. You can accept all recommendations at once, pick individual suggestions, or start fresh and add widgets manually.

Chart Configuration

Every chart widget has a configuration panel where you can: assign X and Y axes, choose aggregation methods (sum, average, count, min, max), apply filters to include or exclude specific data subsets, set custom date ranges, adjust color palettes, toggle data labels and grid lines, and configure tooltips. Changes are applied instantly and the chart updates in real time.

Dashboard Layout

Dashboards use a responsive grid system. You can drag widgets to rearrange them, resize them by dragging the corner handles, and organize them into sections with section headers. Layouts automatically adapt to different screen sizes so dashboards look great on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
